I need to reset Mate to its defaults, because I need to overwrite some of its configuration files that I believe are messed up (more details on the issue here).
I have renamed some of the config folders that I found in /home/<username>/.config/, such as /home/<username>/.config/mate, /home/<username>/.config/mate-session, /home/<username>/.config/mintmenu, /home/<username>/.config/menus, and then logout -> login, but the problem persists.
So, where are all the config files for Mate, and how to reset them to factory default?
