To prevent Phishing Attacks, I was advised to remove the Reading Pane in Outlook.

I still think I can do better than this since having that many emails to go through requires alot of opening and closing of Windows and cluttering up my desktop.

Is it possible to setup Alpine / Pine in WSL2 so things can be a bit more secure without sacrificing the speed lost by not having a reading pane?

Email is terrible. Email in a GUI is absolutely terrible...I would argue it's a dying platform, cause as far as I can tell, that's how platforms die, when they become so popular that threat actors see a big target on them.

  • This is a bit broad, what is your actual question? How to configure `alpine` so it connects to a hosted Exchange IMAP? IMAP should work about the same with any mail client. But if you want to connect through ActiveSync or MAPI, that's an entirely different beast. – Panki Aug 31 '23 at 13:37
