I have a Gentoo pc setup with a pci RX6600 which is used through PRIME on the amdgpu driver to offload graphic work from the integrated graphics which is connected to a screen. However, the Rx6600 has a DP cable connected, as I often use it as a pass-through device for a windows virtual machine (Also main reason Gentoo doesn't use it as a primary GPU).

Because of the connected cable however the GPU will output a black video signal and draw quite a bit of power even when not used/initialized and thus I want to find a way to disable the output. The only solution I have so far is connecting the card to X11 and disabling the Output from my DE, however when I do that I am unable to remove the GPU from the driver when trying to pass-through.

And so, is there a way to disable the output of the AMDGPU without giving it to X11 or detach it from X11 if it was initialized?
