Is the file size 226K or 228K? I am honestly confused and what is meant by "total"?

What does K mean? Kilobyte or Kibibyte?

    In general the online documentation will tell you what the flags mean. See `man ls` and search for `-s` and `-h` (for `-h` see the adjacent `--si`). – roaima Nov 13 '22 at 16:17
