I'd gone through this question but dirmngr isn't getting installed as i can't install dirmngr i am not able to install updates or upgrade my kali.

ERROR: E: Failed to fetch http://http.kali.org/kali/pool/main/g/gnupg2/gpgsm_2.2.1-4_amd64.deb 404 Not Found . . . . E: Unable to fetch some archives, maybe run apt-get update or try with --fix-missing?

You probably have an outdated package index. Two newer versions of gpgsm for amd64 are present in the repository:

Try it again with:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install dirmngr

  • Freddy didn’t tell you to download the files, he told you to run `apt-get update` and `apt-get install dirmngr`. – Stephen Kitt Jul 30 '19 at 09:03
